Hannah Hockersmith

Hannah Hockersmith began her dance career studying many forms of dance before primarily focusing on ballet. She attended the Yen-Li Chen Ballet School where she performed solo and lead roles including Myrtha in Giselle and Odette and Odile in Swan Lake. Ms. Hockersmith is a former Southwest Youth Ballet company member. In The Nutcracker, she has performed the roles of Clara, Arabian Lead, Snow Queen, Dew Drop, and Sugar Plum Fairy. After graduating high school, she attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in both Marketing and Entrepreneurship and minoring in Fashion Studies and Dance. Since returning to Arizona, she has had the pleasure of working with Southwest Youth Ballet as their Director of Social Media, choreographing for the company’s Celebration Performances, and teaching students new ways to move in her jazz classes.
